Laser CTS System With No Wax Or Photo Film

A Sun Chemical Europe product story
Edited by the Printingtalk editorial team May 31, 2007

Sun Chemical Screen will unveil Luscher's new CTS development, Jetscreen DX, at FESPA 2007.

The latest fruits of Sun Chemical Screen's 10-year partnership with Luscher is claimed that it will break new ground.

In developing the Jetscreen DX, Luscher has combined technologies for the CTS technology Jetscreen Wax.

Luscher has more than 430 Jetscreen Wax global installations and its Xpose computer-to-plate (CTP) system has 850 systems installed.

Mike Farmer, equipment manager for Sun Chemical Screen, said: "The result of Luscher's unrivalled knowledge of these two technologies is a true laser CTS system, which means no wax, higher screen rulings and an end to photographic film for stencil making.

Jetscreen DX is fully-compatible with Sun Chemical Screen stencil emulsions and Sun Chemical Screen's Sefar meshes.

That means it doesn't require special meshes or high-cost emulsions used by other CTS systems.

All this means fewer changes to screen-making processes." He added: "With image resolutions of 600dpi, 900dpi or 1,200dpi currently available and 2,400dpi planned, Luscher is simply light years ahead in computer-to-screen technology." Luscher specialises in the development and production of qualitative, mechanical and electronic systems for offset, flexo and letterpress printing, as well as for digital large-format printing.

As the distributor for the product, Sun Chemical Screen also offers a complete support service that includes engineering from site survey and installation to an after-sales service package.
