National Newspaper Ties Up Sun
Consumables Deal
UK national newspaper and its production operation, The Guardian Print Centre, will now have all of its pressroom consumables supplied by Sun Chemical.
That is in addition to its long-term ink supply deal, which is still running The consumables agreement includes the provision of Denios spill control management systems, which are claimed to help printers to reduce waste and cut costs, whilst promoting a safer working environment

Pressroom consumables customers, such as The Guardian can benefit from Sun Chemical's online ordering system, from which a full range of consumable products from a single source supplier can be bought, said Sun.
Peter Hepworth, general manager of Sun Chemical UK's news division said: "We are delighted The Guardian has taken advantage of our prime position in the industry to supply a one-stop service for inks and consumables.
No financial details are being revealed but this is the largest order for pressroom materials since the formation of our UK consumables division last January." And he added: "The intense level of activity undertaken by Sun Chemical in the newspaper industry clearly demonstrates our dedication to newspaper printing.
We have used our expertise in this field to enhance the value we offer the sector, through a mix of product innovation, service and support.".
