A Sun Chemical Europe product story
Edited by the Printingtalk editorial team Jul 20, 2007

Inks that are said to be designed to perform on a variety of demanding print jobs in the newspaper industry were highlighted by Sun Chemical at the Newstec 2007 exhibition.

Sun's Polar Advantage, Vegiweb, Shark and Granit inks form part of the company's Coldset Matrix range, which also includes a series of support services to help newspaper printers maximise productivity and efficiency.

At Newstec, Sun Chemical said it also reinforced its long-term commitment to the newspaper industry with a number of customised services designed to add value to the sector.

The company gave a series of presentations and seminars, in association with Printcity, promoting the results of the Value Added Printing of Newspapers (VAPoN) study.

Peter Hepworth, general manager of Sun Chemical UK's News Division said: "The intense level of activity recently undertaken by Sun Chemical in the newspaper industry clearly demonstrates our dedication to newspaper printing.

We have used our expertise in this field to enhance the value we offer the sector, through a mix of product innovation, service and support.

Newstec provided an excellent opportunity for us to listen to the future needs of our customers to develop appropriate products and services." He added that underpinning Sun Chemical's efforts in this sector has been the progress made on the VAPoN project, in alliance with the Printcity partners.

The project sets out to evaluate how newspaper printers and publishers can increase their revenues through technological, service and creative means.

The findings are now being revealed to printers and publishers in a number of free seminars and events around the globe.
