Sun's UV Sheetfed Offset Inks At Komori

Suncure ISO, UV curing sheetfed offset process inks, which comply with ISO12647:2 European standards, was demonstrated for the first time at Komori's Leeds (UK) showroom.
The Suncure range also includes Suncure Display and Suncure UV coatings in gloss, matt, or silk for use on end-of-press anilox, or roller coaters The new inks, developed by Sun Chemical, are said to be designed specifically for fast printing on paper and board

They were shown in operation on a Komori 10-colour Lithrone S29P long perfector press at the Workshop 07 event.
Sun Chemical said it provided the Exact PSO process inks to show its ISO standard ink range for sheetfed offset printers, which were also run on the Lithrone S29P long perfector.
Visitors to the workshop also saw some visual special effects being printed in-line on the presses.
Colin Norgate, Sun Chemical's UK business manager, explained: "We are leading the way in the UK and European market in ISO 12647:2 products.
At Workshop 07, with our partners at Komori, we demonstrated how we can provide products and technical advice to help our customers gain compliance in standardisation.
In an increasingly competitive market the ability to print in accordance with these international standards can be just the competitive edge needed to gain new accounts and increase profits." And he explained: "Our support for the leading press makers is well known and we are proud to join Komori and the other partners at this workshop and pleased to be supporting the company in many other events planned over the coming months.".
