What are claimed will be world firsts in UV curing printing inks and flexible packaging, as well as advances in water-based printing will be introduced by Sun Chemical at Drupa 2008.

A new range of sheetfed offset process inks will be on show at Drupa '08 and Sun Chemical added that it will also unveil a world first with a new range of UV curing inks called Suncure Advantage, which comprises 30 per cent sustainable materials.
In Packaging, Sun Chemical will be using Drupa as the platform for colour management for brand owners and designers, as well as printers.
Sun Chemical added that together with UPM-Kymmene, it is jointly developing a new magazine paper and ink for heatset printing.
The development is part of Sun Chemical's publication sector initiatives, where the company will show at Drupa ways in which printers can enhance print quality and press productivity as a way of increasing operating profits.
Those products will include a range of products and services for the heatset, coldset and publication gravure markets includes consumables, training, technical service, research and development.
The company said that many of its inks will be running on the printing presses of most manufacturers throughout the exhibition.
