At Drupa yesterday Sun Chemical introduced its new Consulting Division and revealed three partnerships with companies that are involved in the initiative.

Those partners are Environ, Radius Solutions and SBTI.

They have linked with Sun Chemical to provide a facility and services to help printers and converters improve their operational performance.

The launch on Sun Chemical's stand at Drupa, in hall 6, stand 75, also staged presentations from Sun Chemical's vice-president and group managing director, Felipe Mellado, Michel Vanhems, Sun's business leader for consulting, together with Steve Green, the business development manager for Europe at Radius Solutions.

They were also joined by Ian Bailey, president of European operations at Environ.

Sun Chemical also made a presentation at the Printcity forum area on environmental services, which was led by Ian Bailey.

There will be another presentation on carbon footprint and energy efficiency today at 12.30pm by Environ's James Patterson, whilst on June 6 there will be a further presentation on compliance assistance, permitting and EMS from Heike Wenzel, the principal of E H and S Management.

Sun Chemical's Felipe Mellado said: "This is an important step forward.

Sun Chemical Consulting is dedicated to help printers and converters move towards operational excellence.

We are delighted to have announced these important partnerships, which is all part of our continuous commitment to working for the customer and demonstrating market leadership." And Sun's Michel Vanhems added: "We will be providing productivity solutions, advice covering areas such as business improvements and laboratory work, as well as environment, health and safety issues.

Combined with our worldwide expertise on the graphic arts industry, our consulting partnerships will help printers and converters move away from the vicious circle of over-investment and commoditisation, as well as reducing the risk for relocations.".
