Datalase has appointed Stuart Norton-Collins as business development manager for the UK.

Datalase has appointed Stuart Norton-Collins as business development manager for the UK.

Norton-Collins has joined Datalase to further develop the company's growth and to achieve increased sales across the UK, said the company.

With over 20 years' industry experience, Norton-Collins has managed accounts for companies in the manufacturing and IT sectors.

He previously worked for Smurfit Corrugated and left as an area representative and helped to profitability increase the area turnover by GBP2 million.

Norton-Collins most recently worked as a key account manager for the Southwest division of Rigid Containers where he oversaw a significant growth in sales from a zero turnover, resulting in the construction of a new integrated plant.

He will be working to forge partnerships with existing and potential customers, whilst communicating the advantages of Datalase products over traditional labelling technologies.

Datalase works with many of the world's printing and packaging companies to provide a range of laser marking systems across a diverse range of sectors, including product identification and anti-counterfeiting.

The company said that the Datalase process uses a laser reactive coating, which undergoes a colour change reaction from white to black when imaged with a low powered CO2 laser.

Steve Kelly, chief executive officer of Datalase, commented: "With his wealth of experience in a variety of account management positions, we are thrilled to have Stuart joining us at Datalase.

Stuart has the perfect combination of technical knowledge and excellent communication skills for developing our customer base and discovering suppliers who wish to benefit their end user by integrating Datalase technology in to their processes.".
