Datalase just secured US$10 million of funding for expansion The latest finance round has involved MTI Partners, the technology investor, Hotbed, the UK's largest private investor network and BASF Venture Capital, the corporate venture group of chemical company BASF

The investment follows the success of Datalase's US expansion in 2006 and its continued global development, said the company.

Datalase said it is committed to developing patented laser marking systems across a range of sectors, including product identification, anti-counterfeiting, brand protection and document security.

As a venture capitalist funded company, the new investments provide Datalase with the means to further support its expansion in to the US market and accelerate its growth.

The money will also further Datalase's investment in research and development, added the company.

Datalase's expanding product range includes the company's newest addition to its portfolio, Datalase Casemark, which is described as a new alternative to print-and-apply labels designed for outer case secondary packaging.

In addition, Datalase has Datalase Packmark and Datalase Gradmark.

Amongst companies using Datalase technology are Muller Dairy and Qiagen.

Datalase has also signed a license agreement with Sun Chemical, the printing ink manufacturer. Request free introductory details about products from DataLase ...
