David Horner Associates, the screenprinting and finishing company, has updated its print floor by removing two old machines and investing in a Serifast single colour machine from Siasprint UK.

The Essex (UK) company, family-owned for over 30 years, has a dedicated workforce of 23 employees and many years' experience in supplying point of sale material (POS) to retail companies and advertising agencies.

The recent purchase of the reconditioned Serifast consolidates its machinery base and opens up the business stream to companies who required slightly larger format printing said Siasprint.

Amanda Horner, one of the three directors of Horner's, explained: "We have decided to invest in new technology in order to build on our expansion plans.

The new machine operates faster, more efficiently and gives quality results with registration even better than we could offer before." David Horner Associates ordered its new machine in August and the installation went very smoothly said Siasprint.

"The machine comes with one year's warranty, said Horner, "That gives us complete peace of mind and we have the option of taking out a further service contract, should we decide to in the future." In making its choice David Horners was keen to find a larger format screen printing machine and the new machine will take sizes up to 1400mm x 1800mm.

Chris Mabbott, of technical sales at Siasprint UK, explained the benefits of the Serifast: "The fully automatic Serifast is the fastest and most versatile machine of its type in the industry.

It comes complete with either a single sheet or stream feeder, or with the semi-automatic in-feed system as standard a full range of drying and stacking combinations are available.

Easy set up and operation produces top quality results, time after time.

The feeding and delivery sequences, for instance, are controlled and regulated by a set of electronic photoeyes so all the operator has to do is 'feed it and forget it'.

The Serifast can handle any rigid, semi-rigid or flexible substrate up to 7mm thick.

It offers a choice of operating cycles as well - automatic with dwell timer, single cycle and manual so that the operator can achieve the best quality result no matter how challenging the job.".
