Stibo Graphic, a leader in the catalogue printing and pre-press industry has announced the launch of a new workflow system, Stibo ePublish, designed for magazine publishers.
Stibo Enables Simultaneous European Publishing
Sigma-Aldrich has been delivering its Sigma division's product catalogue to customers worldwide thanks to efficiencies achieved from working with Stibo Graphic to produce its European versions.
The success of the Norwegian project in which the Stibo Eprint workflow system played an integral role, has led to the partnership continuing.
According to Stibo, Kuoni is confident that Stibo can deliver the same quality of service for the Danish and Swedish volumes.
Thomas Silverbage, marketing systems and publishing manager at Kuoni explained: "The tools that Stibo has provided us with have shortened the time it takes for our catalogues to reach our target market.
This together with the printing techniques and the special safety of Eprint has certainly helped us to produce and deliver a better product for our customers.
We know that a lot of the time there can be a number of last minute changes and we are very happy to work with such a dynamic partner." Kuoni has been impressed with Stibo's use of Eprint, which has the capability to deliver a much more enhanced review and approvals process - allowing changes of brochures to be made up to an hour before the final print deadline, said the company.
Stibo said that Eprint has contributed towards the success of Kuoni's Norwegian business arm by providing the most up to date information to consumers.
Time is not wasted between approval and printing since changes can be made on-line by catalogue managers at any time without having to liaise with several different departments.
Uffe Hansen, sales and marketing director of Stibo Graphic commented: "We are confident that we can help produce and deliver both catalogues to the highest of quality.
We fully understand that the nature of the travel industry often requires last minute changes to be made and that we may need to work to tight deadlines to ensure that Kuoni gets its brochures to the shelves on time - this is not a problem for us." He added: "We are able to constantly fulfil this requirement because of the latest technology that we use.
This includes a 72-page heatset machine, which is made up of two 48-page and one 96-page heatset presses strengthening our setup and increasing flexibility for large-scale publishers, such as Kuoni.".
