Database Driven Workflow Automates Tasks
Polkadots Software the pre-press workflow developer, has released Prepage-it version 5, the database driven, PDF and 1-bit TIFF workflow, at a price everyone can afford, it is claimed.
"As workflow solution developers we have embraced JDF technology and are constantly looking for new ways to add value to our solutions through JDF.
As a recent Harlequin OEM we have had the opportunity to take a closer look at all of the functions provided within the RIP.
The first JDF feature we have implemented is to be able to accept JDF imposition data of Prepage files and have Rasterize-it process the job and perform the imposition on the fly," said Gilles Duhamel of Polkadots.
The Prepage-it Workflow Solution is a plug and play, database driven solution built upon Global Graphics' Harlequin RIP technology.
It is claimed that the Prepage-it allows users to print from any popular Macintosh or Windows applications and RIP pages up-front, saving time and detecting potential problems early in the process.
It includes compression, automation, proofing, organisation and imposition functions.
