Silicon Crag, the UK distributor of Polkadots software, has launched Prepage-it Lite, a low cost edition of the secure Prepage-it RIP workflow Prepage-it Lite workflow software is specifically aimed at the B2 and B3 format printers

It is said to be able to output to any CTP or imagesetter via a networked hot folder device using one-bit TIFF files or Raster Postscript files.

Prepage-it Lite package includes Rasterize-it (Polkadots Genesis Release Harlequin RIP), Prepage-it Lite workflow server software, Manage-it 4D server and one Mac and PC client, an output size up to B2 (four-up) and up to five input queue configurations.

Silicon Crag said that the package offers the user Rip once output many security, Harlequin RIP technology, whilst being fully compatible in PDF and PS environments, with True Proof - ROOM proofing - soft proof with ROOM proofing to PSD and PDF.

It also includes post RIP imposition using low res proxy files, True Late binding assembly and pre-flighting and the Manage-it Server, which controls production from Mac or PC using an easy to use GUI.
