With the aim of improving its quality proofing standards, Miter Press in Tottenham, London (UK) has invested in a Technolab Graphic Arts RIP system and Epson B1 printer.

Miter Press, a printer specialising in the rapid turn-around of colour printing including report and accounts, financial reports, brochures, leaflets and folders, has upgraded its digital proofing with an Epson 9800 and the RIP inkjet system from Siliconcrag.

Andrew Stallard, studio manager at Miter Press, said: "We knew that the Epson 9800 was the right choice for the printer but the RIP was the crucial element to achieve contract quality consistent proofs from our workflow.

We evaluated all the leading RIP vendors but decided on the Technolab system on quality and functionality.

What ultimately sold it to us is the colour accuracy and it is supplied with all the tools for calibration, profiling, proof checking and spectrophotometer - as standard."
