The company believes that the service expedites the process of approving documents for distribution or print production.
"Smartapps is much more than just a document creation site," said Elaine Jackson, the Smartapps project leader and operations director of St Ives Burrups.
"It enables members of a working group to draft and collaborate on financial documents, from wherever they have internet access.
Additional product features include automated project management, e-mail for the working group members, and an electronic library feature," she added.
Ken Stearn, IT general manager and Smartapps global project manager commented: "Smartapps allows users to participate in document work sessions without having to leave their office or home.
It provides a way for members of the working group to create, edit and review documents and control the entire process from their desktop.
Smartapps is said to mimic a user's workflow, where complex approval processes have been simplified and automated.
The product was developed in direct response to the needs expressed by fund clients, fund managers and other financial document professionals," said Burrups.
"By streamlining the document creation process, Smartapps complements our other document services, such as typesetting and SEC Edgar filing.
It also enhances our ability to provide single-source solutions for our clients in a secure environment," said Andrew Langdale, president and chief executive officer of St Ives Burrups.
