St Ives Becomes Royal Mail's Sole Print Supplier

A St Ives Plc product story
Edited by the Printingtalk editorial team Oct 19, 2007

St Ives has become the sole supplier to manage all the UK's Royal Mail printing requirements with a four-year contract.

The contract covers printed material for Royal Mail's letters business, as well as paperwork, documents and posters for the Post Office network and stationery, labels and dockets used by Parcelforce Worldwide.

It also includes Royal Mail stamps.

The move follows a market research programme and a tendering process by Royal Mail that involved the UK's major print and print management companies, said the company.

The deal means that instead of a number of different companies providing the range of printed material that Royal Mail needs for its operations, St Ives will now be responsible for managing the procurement and delivery of all Royal Mail's needs.

Ray Huntzinger, the managing director of Royal Mail's document management services, said: "We're delighted to appoint St Ives, which impressed us with a proven track record in all sectors of the printed materials market, whilst demonstrating its ability to provide us with a single point of contact for all our printing requirements.

St Ives' determination to streamline the delivery of our printed material, which will support Royal Mail in its number one priority to deliver excellent service to all our customers, was also clear." He added: "Royal Mail is a major buyer of printed material and we are confident we will see clear efficiency benefits in getting all the company's print needs from a single source.".
