Thermal Inkjet Printer's Variable Datamatrix Codes

A new version of Wolke's M600 thermal inkjet printer, the M600 Advanced is now available in the UK from Sunala..

Sunala said that a benefit of the M600 Advanced is that it can print variable Datamatrix codes to ECC 200.

Those codes are increasingly being adopted by companies because of their greater flexibility and accuracy and their ability to include a large amount of information in a concise format, according to the company.

That makes the M600 suitable for track and traceability requirements, particularly for example products that are exported worldwide.

Data for the bar codes is transferred to the printer via a built-in Ethernet port and the M600 Advanced also features a USB port as standard.

In addition, the printer is said to be capable of printing variable addresses and labels, widening its usage from purely industrial applications to include print shops for the direct coding of mailings and bulk mail.

Sunala added that the M600 retains the advantages of the original model.

The HP cartridge system contains the ink and the print head for a maintenance-free and trouble-free operation because the key elements of the printing system are replaced at the same time as new ink is required.

That also ensures a consistently high quality and readable code.

The company said that sing cartridges prevents ink spillages during operation and change-overs to maintain a clean working environment.

The system's control panel is said to allow product set-up and change-overs to be carried out by operators on-line.

New cartridges are clicked in to place in a a few seconds to minimise downtime.
