Sun Chemical Coates Screen has marked its agency for Durst inkjet digital printers with the sale to Bluetree Design and Print, Rotherham (UK).

Sun Chemical Coates Screen has marked its agency for Durst inkjet digital printers with the sale to Bluetree Design and Print, Rotherham (UK), of a Durst Rho160+ flat bed digital printer plus a supporting inks contract.

The compact Rho160+ is capable of reel to reel printing, will handle a wide variety of substrate thicknesses and offers very high quality reproduction.

Bluetree Design and Print is a point of sale specialist working with major retailers and manufacturers.

The company has a turnover in excess of ?3 million, employs 43 people and operates Svecia and IST screen presses and Mutoh reel-to-reel digital printers.

Managing director Bryan Shirley said: "The Rh160+ will integrate well into our future business plans and will broaden Bluetree's production capabilities.

The flatbed capacity of the Durst will mean that we can attack the short-run full colour market." Sun Chemical Coates Screen develops and manufactures a wide range of printing inks for screen applications, is an authority on colour blending and ink dispensing systems and distributes an extensive range of pre-press consumable products and digital imaging systems.

Coates Screen is a division of Sun Chemical, which has a supply and technical network in over 40 countries worldwide.
