Press Condition And Correct Oils And Greases Vital
With the emphasis in the printing industry on just in time delivery the correct maintenance of printing machinery is more important than ever.
After finishing a printing run the press goes through a self-cleaning process, which uses chemicals and water.
A mist is formed and this deposits itself on these bars running the width of the press.
The bars suffer with a light film of rust and this can cause problems feeding the paper.
Since spraying the bars with Omega 636 the existing film is dissolved, no more rust is formed and the bars are clean and stay clean.
When the press manufacturers engineers call to service the press they comment how clean and free the gripper bars are and that their condition is the best they have ever seen, said Sovereign.
Most multi-colour presses that feed the paper from one colour stage to another have these bars, they are located between the stages and can only be seen when the press is not running and the covers slide back.
Omega 636 is available from Sovereign Lubricants and Seals, the UK distributor for all Omega products.
