Daniel Barnett has been promoted to the board of Southernprint as customer services director.

Daniel Barnett has been promoted to the board of Southernprint as customer services director.

He will be responsible for all aspects of customer services, including estimating, scheduling and Southernprint's nine account executives.

His promotion comes nine months after he joined the Dorset (UK) printer in the then new role of customer services manager.

Barnett has 21 years' experience in printing and publishing.

Before joining Southernprint his previous roles included production controller for BBC Magazines, production manager at Harmsworth Magazines, production director at Conde Nast Johansens and he was also St Ives Caerphilly's customer service manager.

Charles Jarrold, managing director of Southernprint, said that in the intervening months Barnett had played a key role in strengthening the company's customer services function.

He added: "He has a good understanding of print and has also helped develop our relationships with our customers.

This appointment represents a natural progression for Daniel and supports our strategy of ensuring that Southernprint provides industry leading standards of customer care." Commenting on his promotion, Daniel said: "I am delighted to be joining the board and look forward to playing an even greater role in continuing the development of Southernprint.".
