Seal Graphics has launched 10 new printable inkjet media: three water-based and seven solvent-based.
The Inkjet Display Board 400 is likely to be of particular interest to those producing exhibition and display graphics, believes the company.
Available as both water-based and solvent-based products, they are made from 400micron hard PVC with special inkjet coatings.
Due to their strength and stiffness the materials are suitable for applications such as pop-up systems and provide a photo-realistic print quality with a high colour range, claimed Seal.
The other two water-based media are the Inkjet PP white matte for poster printing quality, display and simple backlit applications and the Inkjet Colour Canvas, which is said to be a true cotton, matt coated heavy canvas suitable for art reproductions and displays.
Amongst the solvent-based media, the new Inkjet Solvent Blockout Film 200 is a 180micron strong polyester film, printable with all kinds of (eco-curable) solvent and UV-curable inks.
The opaque material has a silver metallic reverse side, is completely non-transparent and ensures a high scratch-resistance, as well as bright colours, claimed the company.
It is said to be suitable for indoor and outdoor applications and can be used for displays that roll-up.
The new Inkjet Solvent Backlit film has been designed for outdoor applications and is said to be suitable for environments where there is daylight.
It is a 210micron PVC film, again with a special coating for solvent inks.
It is suitable for (eco-curable) solvent and UV-curable inks, and is said to be scratch-resistant, waterproof and helps ensure the brilliance of bright colours.
Of the remaining new products, Seal's White Matte film has high scratch-resistance and is suitable for indoor displays.
The Flag and Banner Fine is a 100 per cent Trevira CS fabric with a release liner and knitted textile structure, whilst the Solvent Economy Vinyl Gloss 80 RA and 80 GRA are monomeric vinyls with either a clear or grey adhesive, which are said to be suitable for stretching and elongation with an (unprinted) outdoor life of up to two years, dependant upon place and application.
