Shuttleworth to highlight software developments

Visitors to Ipex 2010 will see Shuttleworth Business Systems demonstrate developments in its estimating system, which now incorporates a wizard-based tool to accelerate the quotation process.

Shuttleworth will also highlight its Supply Chain Manager software, which automatically requests, monitors and coordinates supplier quotations.

The Estimating Wizard is a free upgrade to the Shuttleworth estimating module and is claimed to be a step forward over the traditional methods of estimating work.

The wizard also includes an automated text function that adds text for all documents, including the quotation letter and works orders based on selections from the wizard.

The estimating enhancements also support pre-defined price lists and price scales to meet the needs of all types of print operations.

Multiple estimates and alternative options can all be included on one quotation letter or tender document, added the company.

Shuttleworth will also launch the Supply Chain Manager, which is a software as a service (SAAS) product for the printing industry.

Hosted by Shuttleworth, it requires no additional software or hardware by the user.

Request for quote (RFQ) specifications are automatically loaded to the website from the Shuttleworth system.

Suppliers are emailed and can log into the Supply Chain Manager and enter prices, which are automatically fed back to the customer's system.
