Former Esko Man Leads Laser Engraving Push
The Prints Group of Stork (The Netherlands) has boosted its laser engraving division with the appointment of Jimmy Nystrom as sales and marketing manager.
The Prints Group of Stork (The Netherlands) has boosted its laser engraving division with the appointment of Jimmy Nystrom as sales and marketing manager.
Nystrom has built up a successful track record in the field of customer service, within the pre-production stage of the graphics industry, said Stork.
He joins the company from Esko Graphics, where for two years he was account manager, looking after package printing customers across Scandinavia.
Previously, he spent 10 years at Miller Graphics Scandinavia, where he progressed to the position of group business manager, looking after 15 business units across eight countries.
In this newly created position, Nystrom will be coordinating the marketing and customer care activities of the Prints Group's direct laser engraving technology.
The company said that it has experienced a surge in interest in laser engraving systems.
Nystrom said: "With major advances in the process and a growing choice of high-quality seamless-endless sleeves in the market, I am convinced this single-step method is the new standard for printing forme production.
Its adoption will have a tremendous impact on the flexo and narrow-web industries.
With the support of Stork's global sales network and dealerships, I'm looking forward to making this technology easily accessible to print suppliers across the world." Nystrom's appointment follows those of Dr Markus Bohrer, who became manager of laser research at the beginning of the year, and Oscar Brouwer, production manager for flexo print formes, in the autumn of 2005.
Stefan Ruckl, general manager of Stork Prints Austria, comments: ''We are committed to the highest standards of customer service, and Jimmy's experience, along with his passion for the pre-production stage, will be invaluable in helping us maintain this.
We are delighted to have him as a member of our fast growing team.".
