Sxoop Technologies has launched PXN8, a customisable web-based image editing package that can be integrated in to any on-line digital printing website.

PXN8 is a desktop-like photograph editor that is claimed not to require additional software downloads and installations.

Using PXN8, users are said to edit photographs from anywhere in the world for on-line digital printing.

Red-eye can be fixed, teeth can be whitened and images can be rotated, resized and cropped (to fit the print aspect ratio), said the company.

Some effects, such as 'lomo', add warmth to images.

For on-line digital printers, PXN8 allows users to upload and fine-tune their photographs before they are used.

The company claimed that it is a feature lacking from most on-line digital printing websites today.

In addition, with the prevalence of Malware and computer viruses, users are becoming increasingly wary of downloading and installing software on their own PCs, which PXN8 avoids.
