Printed Film's Benefits Create Flourishing Market
Companies are increasingly realising the great advantage of printed film and demand continues to flourish.
Sealed Air added that it offers its printing customers a range of soft and high performance films, which can overcome those problems.
Another factor the industry had to consider was the adaptability of packaging materials to specialised types of paper, such as photo paper, which Sealed Air added can use its films at low temperatures to avoid any tampering or interference with the paper.
The range of films is claimed to be easy to use.
Printed film was also made available to the market and it is said to be able to tolerate heavy and lightweight products, whilst including simple full tone printing, such as a text or a logo, or picture definition and process tone treatment.
Sealed Air said that it offers a range of Shanklin shrink wrapping machines and tunnels, which are claimed to produce packaging speeds of up to 100 packs per minute and to be able to improve productivity by up to 60 per cent, whilst reducing operating costs by a third.
Sealed Air also has an easy open packaging system, which is claimed to provide marked opening areas with what are described as easy opening characteristics saving time and reducing waste.
Another part of Sealed Air's range for the printing sector is its Pfankuch leaflet feeders that allow, for example, customers to insert CDs and leaflets in to magazines.
With the Pfankuch range Sealed Air added that it is now able to offer a complete packaging system tailored to individual requirements.
Sealed Air's marketing director for the European shrink packaging unit, Helios Ruiz, commented: "We have been in the printing and paper industries for years and can now offer improved complete systems to our customers, providing high quality products and service.
