Sys Tec (ST) Converting, an Italian company specialising in the production of plate mounters, has released a new plate mounter for narrow web applications.

The VP - Vision Plus plate mounter is said to be suitable for all label printers and is simple to use, with high productivity and precision from its autofocus colour cameras with 220x zoom, claimed the company.
ST Converting also claimed that the product's 'virtual image' technology can align plates without crosses or micro-dots.
The system includes Photosplit software that permits the control of the plate mounter for perfect alignment of the plate marking crosses.
The cameras also have marking crosses view in separated and independent windows claimed the company.
