Siasprint, The Italian manufacturer of screen-printing machinery has launched its latest flagship, the new multicolour Multiformula.
As a result, the wastage of time and materials, which invariably occurs during the printing process, is reduced to the absolute minimum, if not eliminated altogether.
At the same time quality and productivity are significantly improved.
The TDAO patented system uses four cameras mounted so that they move with the table itself.
This means that the alignment process is completely independent of the printing machine's tolerances.
The high performance lenses register the positions of three pairs of reference points on the substrate, which the powerful, custom-designed software then uses to align the screen with an accuracy of five microns or better even reducing the effects of any screen stretching.
The print screen is therefore accurately aligned to the current substrate position on each and every print cycle, enabling single, double-sided and multi-layered PCBs, other electronic circuits and all kinds of screen printing applications, including industrial and graphics, to be printed with speed and efficiency.
The system has a touch screen control panel that guides the user through every stage from calibration (which takes less than three minutes per job set-up), onwards.
It even has a help menu, plus a complete data storage facility for repeat runs or analyses.
TDAO Limited, which is based in Market Harborough, Leicestershire, U.K., specialises in researching and developing products and technology for the printed circuit and screen-printing industries.
Sales and marketing manager Paul Lobel said: "We're so impressed by the performance of our new Optical Alignment System that we're currently offering it free of charge to potential customers.
All we ask in return is a share in the increased profitability that the installation generates.".
