TDG concludes environmental research

A TDG Print Management product story
Edited by the Printingtalk editorial team Sep 1, 2008

Environmental research conducted by TDG Print Management at trade exhibitions this summer has revealed that businesses are still committed to improving their eco-credentials.

The research concluded that 100 per cent of respondents agreed that being environmentally friendly was important to them or their business, while 84 per cent agreed they could they could update/improve their company's green practices.

When asked what the main barriers/concerns to 'going green' were, 58 per cent cited lack of knowledge, 19 per cent quoted time and 23 per cent said cost.

The findings supported the general perception that businesses are switched on to the importance of going green.

However, with 58 per cent of respondents claiming 'lack of knowledge' as a barrier, it's clear that education and availability of relevant information is still lacking among the business community.

TDG Print Management has long been an active voice in the debate over environmental issues.

In 2008, it launched Green Audit, which has advised clients including the Body Shop and TNT on how best to combine commercial success with responsible print management.

Tom Gorman, managing director, TDG Print Management said: 'We intend to use this research as a starting point for identifying what other valuable tools and resources we can develop for clients and their marketing teams.'.
