Spine Creaser Stops Cracking On Cover Stock

A Tech-ni-Fold product story
Edited by the Printingtalk editorial team Jan 18, 2008

A second ST 450 Spine-creaser from Tech-ni-Fold at TL Visuals has replaced the company's older Heidelberg saddle stitcher.

The Spine creaser is made up of a patented set of creasing matrixes that are claimed to snap in to the feeding drum and a counter-rotating female device that dictates the crease width for the stock weight, said Tech-ni-Fold.

Danny Lock of T L Visuals, said: "When it comes to stopping the cracking on a cross-range of cover stock materials up to 350gsm there simply is no other option available.

We bought our first Spine-creaser over two years ago and straight away it saved us a phenomenal amount of outsourcing costs and valuable time." He added: "We can't imagine being without it.

It was an easy decision to pick up the telephone and get another device sent as soon as our new machine was installed.".
