Printers and print finishers are set to be avoid having to contract out complex finishing work with a new multiple device for folders from Tech-ni-Fold.

The new Micro-Perf Cut and Crease Combo will be seen in action at the Drupa exhibition on the Tech-ni-Fold stand - C61 - in hall 10.

Tech-ni-Fold said that the product is set to help all types of printing and print finishing companies to keep their difficult finishing work in-house.

The Micro-Perf Cut and Crease Combo is an add-on device for folding machines that performs many functions that are usually produced on flatbed cylinders.

The device incorporates Tech-ni-Fold's latest Tri-Creaser technology (30,000 Tri-Creaser's are said by the company to have been sold worldwide) which has flat micro-perforating that equals flatbed quality and slitting options that resemble guillotine cutting.

Tech-ni-Fold's managing director, Graham Harris, said: "More people are now demanding finishing options that save time.

Current scoring, perforating and cutting tools on the market simply do not produce the quality finishing results that companies require.

Our device not only matches the results expected from the proven flatbed methods but it also performs faster.

Users can also run two applications together in close proximity, such as micro-perforation and creasing, or cutting and creasing.

He explained: "Everything is available in one box and is simple to use and operator friendly.

The Micro-Perf Cut and Crease Combo is currently available for all types of popular folding machines, such as Stahl, Heidelberg, MBO and GUK.

Micro-Perf Cut and Crease Combo can be bought from Tech-ni-Fold's website.
