Bezier Beats The Rest To Retain ASDA Account
Retail media producer Bezier, has retained the prestigious point of purchase (POP) account for one of Britain's leading retailers, ASDA.
Educated at London College of Printing, Harris joined Safeway in 1997 as a print buyer, a year later becoming head of print purchasing for the supermarket chain, with responsibility for an extensive supplier base and an annual commercial print budget of over £30m.
During his time with Safeway he was responsible for introducing a range of initiatives that led to improvements in product specifications, efficiency enhancements, and significant print buying savings for the retailer.
Speaking about his reasons for the move Richard Harris said: "Delta has very much set the standard for the POP industry in recent years.
Its approach and willingness to invest in new technologies has paid dividends and at a time when much of the industry is being squeezed and consolidating, Delta's growth has been nothing short of remarkable." In addition to Harris's appointment, it was announced that Ken Hayzer, who until recently was sales and marketing manager at Capital, is also set to join Delta as sales manager.
Hayzer said: "Delta is clearly market leaders in large format printing and I am looking forward to the opportunity of being part of such a progressive organisation." Delta said it is undertaking an expansion programme that has already seen a number of other key industry appointments and several million pounds of investment in state-of-the-art presses equipment.
Commenting on the new appointments Mike Phillips, joint managing director of The Delta Group said: "Both Richard and Ken are key figures in the industry and their combined wealth of experience across a wide range of disciplines will further add to Delta's expertise.
The momentum the company now has is ensuring we attract the best people to join us, bringing clear benefits to Delta's clients.".
