The Delta Group has installed its second Roland 905-8-LV XXL press at its six-acre headquarters in Walthamstow, London (UK).

The Delta Group, a design and print of point-of-purchase and large format print materials supplier, has installed its second Roland 905-8-LV XXL press at its six-acre headquarters in Walthamstow, London (UK).

Having taken delivery of the world's first Roland 905-8-LV XXL with UV curing capability in 2004, The Delta Group decided to buy a second similar sized machine to further increase the company's efficiency and productivity earlier this year.

With a maximum sheet size of 1,300mm x 1,850mm, the Roland 905-8-LV XXL has a claimed maximum production speed of up to 10,000 sheets per hour and is capable of handling stock thicknesses from 0.04mm through to 1.2mm.

The super-sized press also incorporates Airglide delivery, double-diameter impression cylinders and digital press control via MAN Roland's printnet module Pecom.

Mike Phillips, managing director of The Delta Group, said: "We're delighted to have taken delivery of our second Roland 905-8-LV XXL offset-litho press.

This is just part of our commitment to investing significantly in the company to meet client demands, whilst enlarging our customer base." He continued: "To ensure total back-up at all times, we have installed at least two of every business-critical piece of equipment.

This means that we have the additional capacity necessary to cover peak periods of demand, or to expand a particular area of the business.

We anticipate that production will increase by at least 30 per cent thanks to the installation of the Roland 905-8-LV XXL.".
