After reducing its CO2 emissions by almost 30 per cent, paper manufacturer The James McNaughton Group joined with 800 UK businesses at the Prince of Wales's May Day Business Summit on Climate Change.

McNaughton's CO2 reductions result from its sustainable solutions programme and the company has extended its commitment further by organising The McNaughton Climate Change Forum, which will take place in Birmingham (UK) on July 4.

Suppliers, customers and staff will come together to hear from climate expert, Sir Crispin Tickell, who spoke at the May Day event and Alan Knight, from the Sustainable Development Commission, as well as other guest speakers, with a view to better understanding the issue of climate change and develop joint plans to reduce carbon emissions within their businesses, said Mc Naighton.

Howard Browning, McNaughton's director for corporate responsibility, who attended the original summit, said: "We are thrilled to receive a personal letter of support from Prince Charles expressing his delight at our company's response and giving his best wishes for the event.".
