Wind Turbine Generates Renewable Energy
The construction of a two million kWh wind turbine to generate renewable and zero emission energy will be the latest part of paper company the James McNaughton Group's sustainable solutions programme.
The turbine when in-place at the Hilltop site of McNaughton's GM2 Logistics site in Leicestershire (UK) is claimed to be capable of supplying all of the 200,000 square foot operation's electricity for the next 30 years, reducing the James McNaughton Group's carbon emissions by over 760 tonnes per annum McNaughton has already converted all of its sites to 100 per cent renewable green electricity

We have already made a reduction of our energy consumption in excess of 20 per cent and the installation of a wind turbine will represent a further step towards a more environmentally sustainable business.'' The turbine is planned to be in place by the end of 2008.
