A The James McNaughton Group product story
Edited by the Printingtalk editorial team Oct 11, 2007

Era Gloss, a new paper manufactured from 50 per cent recycled fibre and 50 per cent FSC certified virgin pulp, has bee introduced by James McNaughton Group.

The product is said to help meet strong demand for environmentally responsible products.

The new paper joins the Era range, alongside Era Silk, which is produced from the same recipe and which is available in sizes between SRA2 and B1 with weightsd of 100gsm - 250gsm.

James McNaughton said that Era Gloss is suitable for a range of uses from reports and accounts or corporate social responsibility reports to brochures and magazines.

The company added that the paper's FSC accreditation provides the assurance that the virgin pulp used within Era Gloss is sourced from well managed and sustainable forests.

To support the launch of Era Gloss, a new swatch has been produced, which contains printed samples of Era Gloss and Silk.

The swatch explains how Era is manufactured half from genuine post-consumer waste and half from virgin fibre from FSC forests, added the company.

The swatch is also said to demonstrate the printability and quality of Era Gloss and Silk.

The swatch features tear off strips in each grammage, making it easier to select the right weight for a specific job, or to send a sample to clients.

Tony Porter, James McNaighton' s group marketing director, commented: "Working together with our customers, through our sustainable solutions programme, we have moved to meet the growing demand for products that are Chain of Custody certified and recycled.

Era Gloss benefits from having both environmental credentials and it prints beautifully.".
