A The James McNaughton Group product story
Edited by the Printingtalk editorial team Nov 2, 2007

Because there are conflicting messages circulating within the printing industry, the James McNaughton Group has produced a brochure exploring the facts and myths surrounding recycled papers.

The paper company said it felt it was necessary to provide objective information about recycled papers issues, following customer feedback at its chain of custody seminars, which were staged across the UK and Ireland.

James McNaughton Group said that its customers felt that there were a lot of conflicting information, which combined with different mill and product accreditations made decisions about paper selection more difficult than they ought to be.

The company's four-page 'Recycled papers: facts and common myths' brochure presents facts to counter the most commonly held myths surrounding recycled papers and the company said that the literature provides clarity on issues from the environmental impact of producing recycled papers to its usability in office printing machines.

Tony Porter James McNaughton Group's marketing director, explained: "We decided that it was time to address the common myths circulating about recycled papers.

Many of our customers were confused about the production and printability of recycled papers and were coming to us for guidance.

The brochure provides a useful reference guide to the most commonly asked questions and related answers." The brochure has been digitally printed on McNaughton's Silver Digital Matt 300gsm paper, using Carbon Neutral print production.
