The James McNaughton Group has enlarged its Festival Offset range of papers, which will now run from 70gsm-130gsm.
McNaughton also donated GBP250 to MacMillan Cancer Support for every tonne collected, with a total of GBPGBP271 given to the charity.
All the cards collected will be recycled within the UK, at M-real's recycling mill in Kent and could end up becoming the Christmas cards that will be bought and sent this year.
McNaughton said it has recognised that there is a demand for such a scheme on an annual basis and it will be looking to put in place a wider reaching scheme for next January, setting itself the target of doubling the quantity of cards collected.
Howard Browning, James McNaughton's group director for corporate responsibility, commented: "We are delighted with the success of this year's card collection scheme.
As a major supplier of specialised greeting card materials, we are very mindful of our environmental responsibilities in terms of increasing recycling levels and reducing unnecessary end of life waste.".
