Direct integration of Microsoft Terminal Services with the Thinprint remote desktop printing engine has enabled the print management firm to offer a complete system for creating a server based environment, claimed the company.

Using the RDP protocol is said to ensure support for all Remote Desktop clients that are factory installed in every Windows XP or Windows Mobile device - making it unnecessary to distribute client software through the network.

Reductions in administration and bandwidth requirements, uncomplicated setup of remote and home offices, and connection of mobile laptop users can therefore be implemented quickly and easily, claimed Thinprint.

Developed as part of a royalty contract between Thinprint and Microsoft, the Thinprint Remote Desktop Suite is said to be easy to install and administrate, and with an estimated market price under 3000 Euros for 20 users, it is also affordable, claimed the company.

The starter pack is available for five users or end devices, and additional extension packs can be purchased to add five more users or end devices per pack.

The Remote Desktop Suite is said to give the customer all of the necessary access licenses - including the Microsoft Terminal Services client access licenses - for turning a Microsoft Windows 2003 server in to a complete terminal services environment, with optimal print support.
