Thanet Press is for the first time to sponsor the Data Publishers Association's Annual Conference and Awards in London.

Thanet Press is for the first time to sponsor the Data Publishers Association's Annual Conference and Awards in London.

The awards (to be staged on May 23), are the DPA's most important annual event and bring together the association's members and associate members to recognise excellence in the industry over the past year.

Members not only include mainstream data providers but also a organisations that provide services and products to the data provision and publishing sector, such as printers and contract directory publishers.

As the major sponsor for the event, Margate-based Thanet Press, one of the DPA's associate members, will be producing and delivering everything from the table menus, place settings, programmes and signage to after-dinner mints, which will be provided on every table in specially-made Thanet Press presentation boxes.

Last year the event attracted record numbers, with 130 delegates attending the conference and 250 guests - double the previous year's figures.

Thanet Press managing director David Hurley said: "We're delighted that the DPA has asked us to sponsor this prestigious event, which will be attended by some of the printing and publishing industry's leading lights.

Thanet Press also produces the DPA Membership Book, which lists member companies and their directories, as well as associate members and their services.
