UK management information systems (MIS) supplier Tharstern is looking to appoint a distributor for its software in Scotland.

UK management information systems (MIS) supplier Tharstern is looking to appoint a distributor for its software in Scotland.

The announcement follows a decision taken by Tharstern to try and replicate in Scotland the success of other dealer networks.

Keith McMurtrie, Tharstern's managing director, said: "Our partnership in Ireland, for example, has proved to be very effective.

The very notion of local representation means printers in the area benefit from a high level of support paired with empathy and understanding of the local business climate.

And he added: "Through working with our current distributors we have made our software more accessible to printers across the globe.

Whilst we already have a good proportion of Scottish customers we would like to develop our client base there in a similar way that we have in Ireland.

That could be a great opportunity for an existing software dealer or even a printer in Scotland.
