Point of sale screenprint specialist, Image Factory, has chosen TharsternSQL as its print management information system (MIS).

Point of sale screenprint specialist, Image Factory, has chosen TharsternSQL as its print management information system (MIS).

September 2003 saw Image Factory move in to its new 65,000 square foot factory in Chippenham (UK), which is well positioned for all major UK routes.

A £3.6 million investment programme has also seen the installation of new production facilities.

Previously, Image Factory has operated without an MIS system but was keen to put one in place to help enhance its workflow.

As part of an in-depth review the company considered a number of suppliers but found Tharstern to be the most user-friendly.

Theresa Mcfarlane, IT administrator of Image Factory, said: "As part of the Quarto Group our new MIS and machinery has been carefully selected to compliment other group facilities, suit existing clients requirements and, most importantly, give us the edge in an increasingly competitive market." She continued: "Tharstern is a user-friendly and flexible system which will allow us to easily communicate accurate and up-to-date job information across our factory with minimum effort.

We are initially implementing the suite licence modules but also believe the Scheduling and Accounts link modules would be beneficial to us in the future.".
