TSO, the document and publishing services provider, has won the International Safety Awards from the British Safety Council for its offices in Nine Elms Lane, London for the third year in succession.

TSO, the document and publishing services provider, has won the International Safety Awards from the British Safety Council for its offices in Nine Elms Lane, London for the third year in succession.

To win the awards, TSO had to demonstrate lower than average accident rates, good safety policies and safety plans, and commitment to health and safety at the highest board level.

TSO also had to provide details of significant advances in health and safety for the year and show that planning activities had been reviewed regularly.

David Ballard, chief executive of the British Safety Council, said: "For nearly 50 years we have led the way in promoting health, safety and environmental best practice.

Many organisations are now making health and safety a top priority.

Through achieving an International Safety Award, TSO is helping to make our vision of a safe working environment a reality." Keith Burbage, TSO's managing director of supply chain services, commented: "Health and safety is an integral part of our service delivery and safe working practices are incorporated in our day-to-day processes.

The standard of service required by TSO's customers demands that we minimise every risk that could interfere with the efficiency of our processes." Prime Minister Tony Blair added his support: "I send my congratulations to all of those organisations being presented with an award by the British Safety Council.

These awards recognise the success that these organisations and their employees have achieved in their pursuit of excellence in the management of health, safety and environmental matters.".
