TSO, the UK document and publishing services provider, has been awarded the contract to publish the Office of Government Commerce's Best Practice portfolio.

The contract is for five years, with an option to extend for a further five.

Peter Fanning, Office of Government Commerce's deputy chief executive, said: "OGC's best practice guidance is used all over the world.

Working with partners we can develop the products and make them more accessible,so I look forward to working with TSO in the future." TSO (The Stationery Office) already provides a publishing service for OGC for its IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL), Prince2, MSP and MoR and has won the contract after a competitive tender process that began in July 2005.

Richard Dell, chief executive of TSO, said: "We are delighted to continue our partnership with OGC to deliver the leading best practice guides in the market place.

Coming hot on the heels of our retention of the Driving Standards Agency contract, this is extremely good news for TSO and reinforces our position as the primary provider of document and publishing services in the public sector.".
