A new service is to be launched that will make it easier for ordinary UK citizens to take part in the consultation process for new legislation.

A new service is to be launched that will make it easier for ordinary UK citizens to take part in the consultation process for new legislation.

'Have Your Say' is a free service from TSO, the document and publishing services provider, with the support of the Government's Office of Public Sector Information.

It is a weekly email that not only alerts anyone interested to proposed legislation but explains the potential impact of the proposals, the consultation process and timetable, as well as making the relevant documents available as soon as they are published.

Richard South, TSO's director of official publishing, said: "The Government has a stated aim of making the legislation process open and accessible.

TSO's reputation as Parliament's official publisher, as well as being outside the political process means we are ideally placed to help do this.".
