TSO, the UK document and publishing services provider has secured two four-year contracts from Her Majesty's Stationery Office, which operates from within the Office of Public Sector Information.

The contracts are for the London, Belfast and Edinburgh Gazettes and for Command and House of Commons Papers, which include White and Green Papers, treaties, draft Bills and accounts and reports produced by bodies such as the National Audit Office and Government departments.

TSO provides editorial, advertisement, printing, publishing and other services in connection with the Gazettes and project management, printing, publishing and distribution of Command and House of Commons Papers.

Richard Dell, TSO's chief executive officer said: "The Gazettes are a unique source of regulatory and financial data and we plan to launch extra services, such as web submissions, a Government and Public Notices portal and tailored e-alerts based on geographical information and notice types to ensure that official information is disseminated in the most user-friendly manner." He added: "TSO's unique heritage in official publishing and its skills and experience in print management enable us to provide an unmatched complete service for Command and House of Commons Papers.

Over the next few months we'll be launching a bespoke portal for government departments using the service, as well as an initiative promoting the role of the publications in enabling more informed public participation in the development of government policy." Alan Pawsey, head of publishing services at OPSI said: "We welcome our continuing relationship with TSO for a further four years.

The company demonstrated its deep understanding of our requirements for both contracts and we look forward to working closely with TSO to develop new services that keep pace with changes in the way government and the market distribute and use information.".
