In addition to its personal cheque printing business with the major UK retail banks, the company has operated a special cheque business based at Peterborough.
The Tall Group, which has premises in Leicestershire and Cheshire, has now secured a deal to take on De La Rue's special cheque printing business.
"We are now working closely with De La Rue to ensure a trouble-free migration for their customers," said Martin Ruda, Tall's group managing director.
"We are very much a growing company and, having established ourselves as one of the country's leading providers of secure print solutions, put the emphasis on providing excellent customer service." Keith Brown, De La Rue's Security Products' director of business development, has welcomed the deal.
"The company's decision to cease cheque printing in Peterborough required us to identify a suitable partner with whom we could work to transfer our specially printed cheque and credit customers," he explained.
"The arrangement with the Tall Group is good news for our customers as both Tall Security Print Ltd in Runcorn, and Checkprint Ltd in Hinckley have excellent reputations in our industry for customer service.
We have great confidence that the Tall will be able to meet customers future requirements and will make the transfer of business go as smoothly as possible." The Tall Group, which provides Barclays, Royal Bank of Scotland's and Bank of Scotland's special cheques services, works for many of the country's leading banks and financial institutions.
Its Leicestershire business, Checkprint Ltd in Hinckley, has been named as one of the UK's top 50 Best SME companies to work for.
