Tall Acquires Scottish Security Printer

The Tall Group has purchased the customer base of George Waterston (Security Printers).

Edinburgh based Waterstons, a long-standing accredited cheque printer, went into liquidation on October 28 when KPMG was appointed provisional liquidator.

Following a sale by the liquidator, all customer history, job bags and associated background information will be transferred to Tall Group's Tall Security Print.

"Our intention in taking over these records is to provide continuity of supply to Waterstons' customers, wherever possible.

The integrity and confidentiality of the records, which is particularly relevant to the security print content, is assured and we hope to supply repeat and new work to the established customer base.

We are contacting all of Waterstons' customers to tell them of this change and offer our help where possible.

We pride ourselves on providing excellent customer service," explained Martin Ruda, managing director of the Tall Group.

The two sites within the Tall Group, Tall Security Print in Runcorn and Checkprint in Hinckley, Leicestershire, already supply 25,000 UK customers with cheques, credits, forms and securely numbered documents.

The latest announcement comes after Tall reached agreement earlier this year to transfer the special cheque and credit work from De La Rues Peterborough plant.

In June, the Tall also took over the customer base of Gloucestershire based Aspen Pre-Print, which went into administration in May.
