Tall Security has also seen a steady increase in corporate special cheque printing, despite a decline in cheque use generally, and has increased turn-over by 10 per cent in the last financial year.
The company employs 104 people, with four more recruits to be taken on over coming months, and works in partnership with Manchester College of Printing on a printing apprenticeship scheme.
It has Investor in People status, having first gained the accreditation in 2000, and also holds ISO 9001:2000.
The Tall Group, which also includes Checkprint in Hinckley, Leicestershire, is a leading security print and solutions provider, working for the UK's banks, financial institutions and 70 per cent of the top-100 FTSE companies.
"Making it through to the finals marks our third award success so far this year".
"Checkprint was named as a winner of the Queen's Award for Enterprise in April and was a finalist in the innovation category of the Leicestershire Business Awards the following month," said Mr Ruda.
