Tall Group completes restructure

The Tall Group, a secure printing and software payment business, has completed a restructuring to accommodate projected doubling of turnover in the next three years.

A new holding company, The Tall Group of Companies Limited, now owns Tall Security Print and Checkprint, the company's site in Hinckley, Leicestershire.

In February The Tall Group announced that growth in export sales and the development of new software-based payment systems helped it turnover GBP10m.

Martin Ruda, managing director of Tall Group, said: 'Over the last few years the business in the UK has seen a shift in demand from paper-based secure printing to the development of electronic systems for the finance sector.

'The new structure of the business will ensure we maximise return from our traditional services while expanding and growing the software division and our export business.

'It also supports the plan for acquisitions, giving the group directors the time to focus on strategy rather than day to day operations.

Four new directors have been promoted to the board of Tall Security Print.

They are Martin Quinn, operations director, Brian Evison, pre-press director, Debbie Dowler, quality director, and John Watmough, commercial director.

Another two will join the board of Checkprint: Wayne Carlisle, IT director, and Lee Howitt, commercial director.

All six directors will report to the group board.

In the past two years The Tall Group has won security print contracts in 16 countries, including the Dominican Republic, Kenya and Nigeria.

The company has also introduced its first UK Bacs product.
