Scottish Papermaker Tullis Russell and exclusive UK distributor Paperco are seeking to build industry awareness of the applications for uncoated paper and board.

The companies are aiming to do so with a new campaign promoting their Advocate Rough product.

As part of the promotion, an eye catching mailer is being distributed to key print and design contacts in the UK, demonstrating first hand the exceptional flexibility, texture and print quality achievable on Advocate Rough, said Tullis Russell.

The concertina styled mailer, which can be separated in to a number of humorous postcards, is testament to the fact that the Advocate brand is dedicated to supporting a spectrum of business and everyday print uses, claimed the company.

Advocate Rough is said to have been developed to provide superior bulk and stiffness and is perfectly suited to text and cover applications.

Since its introduction last year, Tullis Russell believes that Advocate Rough has proved a popular choice with specifiers seeking a paper that provides a more tactile experience and feel.

The extension of the brand is also claimed to provide the quality synonymous with Advocate but with the feel of real paper and board.

The company added that the latest promotion demonstrates the companies' commitment to matching their brands to changing market requirements.

Available in complementary Smooth, Laid and Ghost finishes, Advocate Rough also offers whiteness and benefits from FSC accreditation.

Shona Birrell, product manager for uncoated papers at Tullis Russell, commented: "The Rough option gives a real depth of choice to the Advocate range and brings a new, exciting dimension to a brand that is going from strength to strength.".
