Tullis Russell Focuses on Growing Uncoated Trend

A Tullis Russell Group product story

Tullis Russell has expanded what is already the widest choice of SBS cartonboards on the market with the launch of trucard 0, the first uncoated addition to the evolving range

Engineered specifically in response to the growing demand for more tactile uncoated surfaces, trucard 0 is a genuine premium quality woodfree solid bleached sulphate cartonboard available in three finishes for the card, cover and premium packaging markets.

With trucard 0, printers and converters no longer have to lose stiffness by printing the uncoated side of a conventional one-side coated SBS board when the desired finish is uncoated.

Nor do they have to compromise technical performance by opting for a standard heavyweight offset.

trucard 0 matt has a natural uncoated surface in an exceptionally bright white shade while trucard 0 felt has a subtle textured finish for those jobs where a hand-crafted authentic effect is required.

Completing the range is trucard 0 felt extra with a light coating on either side to provide the optimum balance between the feel of a real uncoated and the superior inklift of a coated grade.

To offer even greater choice, you can get trucard 0 in a range of thirteen embosses.

In common with the entire trucard range, trucard 0 is a twin-wire product guaranteeing outstanding bulk, stiffness and dimensional stability for exceptional print and converting performance.

Like all trucard items, trucard 0 is FSC accredited, made from ECF pulps and fully recyclable.

The board is even available in a recycled version on request.

trucard is also available in coated one and two-sided gloss and matt versions (1 gloss, 2 gloss, 1 matt and 2 matt) as well as the new ultra high gloss trucard ice.
